Technology is advancing day by day and like all countries, our country follows the changes brought by new technologies. The development of societies lies on adapting to these changes. However, adopting these changes as a society is possible through innovative approaches being embedded into country policies, and the most important actors of this process are school-age students, the active workforce of the future. Creating innovative flexible learning spaces for students and raising them as self-confident individuals who have 21st century skills are the duties and responsibilities of policy makers in the field of education.
Some European countries develop strategies on innovative learning spaces and place the innovative approach among their priorities in education. Although studies have been carried out in this field in our country, there is not a standard framework on innovative learning spaces. Within the scope of the project, firstly, good examples of developed European countries in flexible learning environent will be examined. “Designing Future Innovative Learning Spaces” aims to raise generations that can keep up with technological developments and contribute by foreseeing the development of innovative educational policies.
DFILS aims to use information and communication technologies in innovative learning environments, to transfer developing and changing applications to multi-disciplinary fields and to solve scenarios based on real life problems by following scientific steps in flexible learning environments. The Innovative Online Training Platform to be established within the scope of the project is of great importance for the sustainability of the project. Our project, carried out by the Ministry of National Education General Directorate of Innovation and Educational Technologies, and will be implemented with the contributions of 7 European member partners, serves parallel goals with the practices of innovative and flexible learning environments supported by the European Schoolnet (European Schoolnet).
